Was paying on a Computer and stopped paying on it due to hardships and I'm told that the sheriff's dept. are putting a warrant out for me. Is that possible? That's like having problems paying on a car and they put a warrant out for you for that. Seems a little strange would this not have to go through court to collect the money from me? Thanks

  1. its possible theft.not like a car where they can repo. computer can be sold and hard to find

  2. Who told you that the Sheriff's department was getting a warrant for your arrest?  Let me guess:  The people who are trying to collect the money from you, right?  That's a load of hooey.  Yes, they can take you to collections; yes, they can take you to court; yes, they can get a court order to have your wages garnished, but failure to pay a debt between two private entities (like you and the company that gave you the computer) is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.  You can't go to jail for that unless you committed some type of fraud, and failure to make payments doesn't constitute fraud.
