So they signed Maggette, he's a good player but it ain't exactly gonna be an upgrade from Baron Davis. Plus does that mean Monta will be running the point? For those who follow the Warriors, do you feel good about the W's chances next season and are they playoff contenders?

  1. they be there at the end but its houstons year goo rockets

  2. yea im pretty optomistic about next season. its way to soon to talk playoffs but all i can say is that i hope and i do believe that they can make it to the playoffs. its the NBA and anything is possible. lets go warriors!

  3. As a Warrior fan, I can honestly say I don't know what to expect next season.

What I think they should do is have Stephen Jackson run the team, keep Monta as a scorer, along with Corey Maggette, hopefully C.J. Watson can step up as the point guard.

  4. i know theyre not going to the playoffs in tough west they couldnt this year but ill still enjoy the up comming season it would be better without maggette being there i dont like that fool but we got turiaf the preditor so its all good.

  5. I believe they will defiantly be in the hunt till the end.  The fact that we haven't quite stumbled this offeseason by actually signing guys such as Maggette and trying to sign Turiaf to extended contracts means that the Warriors are looking to win.  They know they can win. Baron is a fantastic player, but keep in mind that the WArriors missed another player last year due to a 7 game suspension(stephen jackson) and the warriors went 0-7 in those games.  The Warriors win 5 of those 7 games, they're a 53 win team last year.

I can see them possibly trading or keeping Al Harrington, but either way, im fine with.  The guy i prefer the Warriors try to sign is Azubuike and shut the door on thsoe Clippers(ones enough kids).

As for next year, i see Monta Ellis having an explosive year.  His passing game cannot be heralded, but im sure he will develop next year.  C.J. Watson aint a bad backup point for Monta either.  Ellis, S-Jax, Maggette, Harrington, Biedrins with respectable guys off the bench, i can see the Warriors finishing over .500 and if they make it to the playoffs mite be more borderline.

  6. They will probably be the last seed and Baron was getting old anyway let monta take the reigns now.

  7. First, just cause it's bugging me, nba_gsw, W's went 1-6, not 0-7 :)

It's hard to foresee what's gonna happen with next season. Monta is expected to be PG, both Mullin and Nellie believe he can do it. Monta is extremely talented and was a combo guard last season. However, that is also the problem; he's a combo guard and who knows if he can be a full on PG. He's mainly a scorer. He's also very young and it may take time for him to develop. But who knows. I have faith in him.

Maggette is extremely skillful and had great stats last year, and was the leading scorer for the Clippers. He can play in the Warrior's style for sure and he'll do very well. We also got Ronny Turiaf, a big man, which is exactly what the W's need. He can back AB up fairly well.

So while we might not have a true PG, the upcoming season shouldn't be as bad as we all might have thought with the loss of BD. Oh and keep Buike :)

  8. There not a playoff team, but even when they were a playoff team they weren't a playoff team because how good the West was and still is.There still a good team, but I'm interested to see if there's as many sell outs this season.I'm still optimistic though.
