  1. A nobody for a first round pic sure doesn't look like a good move to me!!

  2. he's really talented and was supposed to blossom under kidd but now with harris and dooling, there was no way he could get minutes, and they're freeing up space for lebron

  3. Williams had a lot of potential, and controversy (he was caught trying to sell a laptop reported stolen and was suspended from the team), when he left UConn after his Junior year.  He has the all-time school record for assist average (7.3).  His final season there he averaged 8.6 apg.

He has not averaged more than 16 minutes a game with the Nets in his two years and only played 53 games last season so it's not a good indicator (especially when you consider how often second year players' stats drop).

He has really good floor vision, is faster than he seems to play, and is pass first and shoot second.  With 20-25 minutes a game, I think he could give the Warriors 10 ppg and 4-5 apg next year.  He could eventually get even better (with more playing time), but he needs experience.  I think if Nelson gives him a chance, he could turn it on with GS (best situation for him).  This all hinges on his attitude though.  That was a knock on him, among other things, coming out of college.

Also, I didn't see him on the Summer League roster for the Nets and don't know if he played for them the previos 2 summers.  That could be a bad sign if he didn't.  Anyone know if he did? I think I remember him playing during his draft year but not sure.

The draft pick GS gave up is heavily protected with clauses according to espn.com so I say it's worth the gamble.

  4. He should be ok.

  5. who every iz sayin that tis iz not a good pick up or sayin he iz a nobody who dont no anything bout basketball he wuz a great guard at uconn he wuz a 22nd overal pick and he has been a solid back up 2 j kidd and he really didnt like tha system tha nets run but he likes tha warriors run-n-gun offense. he iz a young and good player and he iz not a nobody

  6. Marcus Williams is very talented, with a lot of potential, he didn't get much of a chance last year, because he was banged up, but now with the Warriors I feel like he will make a immdiate impact for my Warriors. It did catch me by suprise, I thought they would go after a veteran point guard, but went even younger, I like it though.

  7. no f.r. pick is cheap
