Warwickshire gain control against Somerset: County Championship Division One- 2nd Day's Recap

The start to Somerset’s innings was a positive one, as their openers, Trescothick and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arul-Suppiah-c1084 constructed a 50-run stand. The latter failed to carry onto the start to his innings and was sent back to the pavilion after adding just 23 runs to the total.

respectively.

Westwood was the next man to go, but he didn’t miss-out on an opportunity to score a ton and scored 129 runs in his outing.
The Irish skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/WTS-Porterfield-c2801, also did a decent job, scoring 72 runs. However, the lower-order batsmen failed to score too many runs and the home team ended the day on 398/7.
