Was 2002 a long time ago?

That was one messed up year for me. I'm trying to get as far away from it as possible! LOL

The year 2002 seems like yesterday to me. But that's the point, it was yesterday. So learn from the past and look to the future and please, try not to p**s on the present. Personally this year has been one of the hardest for me. Thus, I shall urinate on it,lol. Seriously though, I'll probably gain the most out of this year due to its difficulties.

If 6 years is a long time for you I guess. To me.. yes 2002 seems like light years away! Wow a lot happened to me that year, I was so much younger and didn't know what the heck was going on lol. I've grown a lot. So to me, yes it was a long time ago.

I suppose it depends on how old you are.

I keep seeing people online ask what it was like to find out about the attack on the World Trade Center--because they were too young to remember.

Not only was I old enough to remember, I was educated enough to immediately understand the reasons behind the attack and the consequences of it.

I even remember the first attack--back in 1993, before some of these people were even born.

And now we have eighteen year olds joining the military to fight terrorism. Eighteen year olds who were young children, and likely shielded from the news coverage on 9/11.

Did anyone else stay up late to watch OJ drive his Bronco down the highway? We all thought it was so exciting.

2002 seems like yesterday. I guess that means I'm getting old.

In the grand scheme of things no it is a blink in the eye of history.  To someone who is only 7 it was a lifetime ago.
