Quite long compared to a human life span..  Actually, our calendar should be at LEAST the year 15,008..  since there are many artifacts of civilizations that were developing on earth.

Today would be:  K-16, Y-008, D-218..  ( we are in the 160th century, ( K for kilo, K = 1,000) .. we are in the 008th Year, and the 218th Day of the Year.   For obvious reasons we could shorten to: Y8D218

Simple..  who needs monday's anyway   ; - )

wow...its almost 2009..time has really flown... ive been lost in lots of love... well i guess its been a while ago but ya know when your not waiting for it to be over, it passes quickly!

2006 is a long time ago compared to a second ago, but 2006 is also a short time ago compared to one thousand years ago. it depends on what length of time what you're comparing it to. every length of time can be called either long or short.

It depends on your age. As a percentage of time, it is not as long ago for those of us who are older. Time seems to fly by very quickly. That is why we need to make the most of every moment. You never know how much time you really have.

Depends on what happened in your life after that.

Since 2006, I saw my friends graduate ahead of me, I drop out of college, I was raped, my father gets ill, my family start the big fight, my brother is getting married.

So, yeah....2006 is a long time ago!
