Was 9/11 an inside job? There are two sides to the story.?

Can anyone provide detailed information about the popular mechanics issue debunking 911 as well as the history channels documentary to compare and contrast it to the 911 truth movement?

Lets make this a debate and examine both points of view.

You got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.

If you actually believe that 9-11 was an "inside" job, then somewhere at sometime something was lost on you. This country may not be perfect. Humanity as a whole is a long way from perfection therefore anything and everything created by and /or ran by humanity is also lacking in this area. But the USA is the best thing this piece of rock floating in space has going for it! There is no way, despite how much you may hate the man, that GW Bush planned 9-11. How can a man that did such a poor job with hurricane relief plan such an attack and hide the truth of his complicity? Especially with how the media hates him so much.

as the protect America act erased a measurable

amount of the constitution.

And if you listen to some of the speeches by H Kissenger,

he in fact has spoken on using terror,starvation,drought,

and so on to get citizens to relinquish their civil liberties.

There were 2,974 fatalities, excluding the 19 hijackers: 246 on the four planes (from which there were no survivors), 2,603 in New York City in the towers and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon.[23][24] An additional 24 people remain listed as missing.[25] All of the fatalities in the attacks were civilians except for 55 military personnel killed at the Pentagon.[26] More than 90 countries lost citizens in the attacks on the World Trade Center.[27]

NIST estimated that approximately 17,400 civilians were in the World Trade Center complex at the time of the attacks, while turnstile counts from the Port Authority suggest that 14,154 people were typically in the Twin Towers by 8:45 a.m.[28][29] The vast majority of people below the impact zone safely evacuated the buildings, along with 18 individuals who were in the impact zone in the south tower.[30] 1,366 people died who were at or above the floors of impact in the North Tower.[31] According to the Commission Report, hundreds were killed instantly by the impact, while the rest were trapped and died after the tower collapsed.[32] As many as 600 people were killed instantly or were trapped at or above the floors of impact in the South Tower.[31]

At least 200 people jumped to their deaths from the burning towers (as depicted in the photograph "The Falling Man"), landing on the streets and rooftops of adjacent buildings hundreds of feet below.[39] Some of the occupants of each tower above its point of impact made their way upward toward the roof in hope of helicopter rescue, but the roof access doors were locked. No plan existed for helicopter rescues, and on September 11, the thick smoke and intense heat would have prevented helicopters from conducting rescues.[40]

A total of 411 emergency workers who responded to the scene lost their lives as they attempted to implement rescue and fire suppression efforts. The New York City Fire Department lost 341 firefighters and 2 FDNY Paramedics.[41] The New York City Police Department lost 23 officers.[42] The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 officers.[43] Private EMS units lost 8 additional EMTs and paramedics.[44][45]

Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., an investment bank on the 101st–105th floors of One World Trade Center, lost 658 employees, considerably more than any other employer.[46] Marsh Inc., located immediately below Cantor Fitzgerald on floors 93–101 (the location of Flight 11's impact), lost 295 employees, and 175 employees of Aon Corporation were killed.[47] After New York, New Jersey was the hardest hit state, with the town of Hoboken sustaining the most fatalities.[48]

The city was able to identify remains for only approximately 1,600 of the victims at the World Trade Center. The medical examiner's office also collected "about 10,000 unidentified bone and tissue fragments that cannot be matched to the list of the dead."[49] Bone fragments were still being found in 2006 as workers prepared the damaged Deutsche Bank Building for demolition.

I am split. I want to believe that it was a hate driven terrorist attack that the US was in no way involved in, but I can't help but believe it was aided by the United States government. That of course is horrible to say because what government would allow thousands of people die in such a horrible and inhumane way?

1) New York is the 11th state.

2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.

3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11

4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11

5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11

6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911. 9 + 1 + 1 = 11.

Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind:

1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was

254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.

4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.

Now this is where things get totally eerie:

The most recognised symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book:

"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."

That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

I don't know the specifics, but I was told by several people that when Bush got the call about the attack he didn't seem alarmed at all. I was told that he was reading and after he was given the news he went back to his book. What the h**l? If this is true, what other involvement did he have? I just think he would have reacted differently had he not been involved. Bush should be prosecuted for his involvement in terroist activities both in the US and around the world. He and his people in office are crooked and perhaps we should give them some sort of "truth serum" to find out the real story. Our country has always been run by criminals with big pocket books and wealthy "friends."

The problem is looking at that information takes hundreds of hours.  People cannot be bothered so they stay asleep.

Understanding it takes a mind that can grasp big pictures.  People who think in straight lines will never get it.

The issue is way to large to debate here.  To debate here, we would have to break it down into small bites and take one bite at a time.

Well, look at all the rights we have lost in the name of the "War on Terrorism" They can now arrest you, hold you indefinitely, and refuse you an attorney simply by saying they think you may be a terrorist.  I suggest you watch Rendition, it is based on real events and then decide for yourself if it is possible it was an inside job.

if you watch the movie zeitgeist, it presents a very compelling argument that the 9/11 attacks were indeed a controlled demolition, and not a terrorist attack as the US government would have the global community believe.  I highly recommend it.  As to what the government has to gain by doing such a thing: it's called consumerism.  Keep people afraid and 1) they'll consume, 2) they will do whatever their government tells them, and will support their government's activities that would otherwise be viewed as questionable at best (cough cough Iraq).  I mean no one even noticed the subtle transition between let's invade Afghanistan and take out Bin Laden because he's behind the 9/11 attacks, and o now we're in Iraq "looking for WMD's", even though Hussein was never involved as a suspect in the 9/11 attacks, and the only plausible reason for the US to be in Iraq was OIL.
