No,but he did destroy the Republic,degenerating it into a democracy,and paving the way for future Socialist measures like income taxes,and fractional reserve banking.The greenbacks were used to prevent loans from banks but they weren't backed by gold or silver.Same as our fed.reserve notes.Just legal tender,no real value.Plus states rights were destroyed by Abe.
