  1. This is the story of Aphrodite's Birth:

Cronus was the son of the great god Uranus (Heaven, Sky) and Gaia (Mother Earth).  As his children were born Uranus  imprisoned them so they wouldn't challenge his rule, causing Gaia great grief.

With his mother's help Cronus ambushed his father Uranus and castrated him. Cronus threw Uranus' severed parts into the sea, and a host of giants and nymphs arose from the water, including Aphrodite.

"Foam-arisen" Aphrodite was born of the sea foam near Paphos, Cyprus.Hesiod's Theogony described that the genitals "were carried over the sea a long time, and white foam arose from the immortal flesh; with it a girl grew" to become Aphrodite.

She was the Greek goddess of love, beauty, fertility and desire, and was rumored to be the oldest of the twelve Olympian gods and of an older generation than Zeus.

I am not sure if one could say that Aphrodite was a child of Uranus, looking at how she was born, but she wasn't born of Gaia.

  2. There appear to be several different accounts of Aphrodite's parentage.  the most famous one says that she was born when Cronus castracted his father Uranus and threw his testicles into the sea.  Others claim for her slightly more conventional parentage, of Cronus (Time) and Euonyme (earth) or Uranus (heaven) and Hemera (Day).  Most often, though she was considered the child of Zeus by his aunt Dione, one of the Titans.  others call her one of the Oceanids, which origin more closely corresponds with a foamy conception.

  3. No Aphrodite was one of the Olympic gods. Gaea was mother Earth and gave birth to the titans and a few other creatures.
