Question:

Was Bowe-Holyfield II the weirdest bigtime boxing match of all time?

I'm watching it now on ESPN II. A parachutist enters the ring, gets beaten up, breaks his back, others injured, Bowe's pregnant wife passes out and is taken away by Jesse Jackson. What the heck?

What ever happened the the parachutist?

  1. I think weirdest fight was another Bowe fight against the insane Golota who was winning the fight, and then just had a mental break down and started hitting Bowe in the gonads and getting DQ'd which started a massive riot. He did the same thing in the rematch.

  2. He died parasailing in Alaska a couple of years ago - a fitting end.

  3. Yes I have to agree it was and it doesn't get any more big time than the Heavyweight championship of the world!

The parachutist name was James Starr and yes he did die doing what he loved

Holyfield Bowe 2 was not his only big event however

He crashed a lot of huge events even trying to get into Buckingham Palace once!

He truly was the MORGANA the KISSING BANDIT of the 90's!

  4. I saw some tuersday night fightr where Teddy Atlas got into the ring after the fight and beraided the anouncer and referee cause they scored the fight a split decison but the anouncer said magority decision.  Also the boxer who lost was fun to watch and clearlyt won the fight - and who is that other boxing espn analist? not kellerman but the other cracker? they both were scraming at the ref.  was funniest think I ever see in boxing.  One of the boxer picked up the other boxer and spinned him around and the boxer who got spinned was deducted a point funny!  Teddy was irate!
