  1. bruce lee was the man!!..yes he was strong for his size, very fast, he had unbelivable skills...he was what you would call a "bad a$$"

  2. Bruce Lee seemed to be a perfectionist in anything he did. He did weight training with the aim of getting stronger so my answer would be that yes, knowing him and his mental attitude towards success, yes he was strong.

  3. I bet he'll kick ur butt

  4. Lee was strong but don't beleive everything you see or read about him, especially on Wikipedia. there is  a reason many schools  do not let students use this as a reference source, as nothing on it is official.

  5. He could bench press 3x his own weight. So i'd say yes.

  6. for his size yes.

  7. you dont need to be strong to beet some one go to google images and type in Nathan Diaz and thgis dude is not big it's his tecnic and skills and mental /physical health strength

  8. Yes, he was very strong:

  9. yes

  10. Maybe he couldn't bench press your car, but only a fool would challenge him to a fight.  Strong is useless unless you want things moved around the house...   He will always be the greatest and most well known martial artist to ever exist.

  11. Take a close look at the image you posted - the guy weighed 145 soaking wet with rocks in his pocket.  His frame was small, but the guy had no body fat, and had one of the most defined physiques ever.

There are too many myths about what he could do strength wise, so let's leave that out of it.  But he stated many times in interviews and writings that strength and size were only a small part of being a martial artist - flexibility, speed, and technique - combined with mental readiness and hard training - were just as important.

He used strength training to augment his other attributes and be a better martial artist.  He was a fighter, not a power lifter or a body builder.

Here's a different image - he  was huge to be under 145.

  12. According to Wikipedia...

Lee's striking speed from three feet with his hands down by his side reached five hundredths of a second.

Lee's combat movements were at times too fast to be captured on film at 24fps, so many scenes were shot in 32fps to put Lee in slow motion. Normally martial arts films are sped up.

In a speed demonstration, Lee could snatch a dime off a person's open palm before they could close it, and leave a penny behind.

Lee could perform push ups using only his thumbs

Lee would hold an elevated v-sit position for 30 minutes or longer.

Lee could throw grains of rice up into the air and then catch them in mid-flight using chopsticks.

Lee performed one-hand push-ups using only the thumb and index finger

    Lee performed 50 reps of one-arm chin-ups.

From a standing position, Lee could hold a 125 lb (57 kg) barbell straight out.

Lee could break wooden boards 6 inches (15 cm) thick.

Lee performed a side kick while training with James Coburn and broke a 150-lb (68 kg) punching bag.

Lee could cause a 300-lb (136 kg) bag to fly towards and thump the ceiling with a side kick.

In a move that has been dubbed "Dragon Flag", Lee could perform leg lifts with only his shoulder blades resting on the edge of a bench and suspend his legs and torso perfectly horizontal midair.

Lee could thrust his fingers through unopened steel cans of Coca-Cola, at a time before cans were made of the softer aluminum metal.

Lee could use one finger to leave dramatic indentations on pine wood.

So, yes, he is very strong and the picture you have is when he was not so buffed and muscular.
