Was China Always this good in the Olympics??

Or is the home advantage really taking play this time? Have they ever won so much before?

They only got a medal recently at 2004 but not before. China didn't work on the gymnastics program as well as other nations did before 2004 but they're catching up. And yes there is a home advantage this time.

Yes, they won 2nd place overall in Athens, behind United States.

they always are this good. in the previous olympics they did very well as well.

They are a lot better this time, even though they did pretty good in Athens too.

The reason that China is especially good this time is that they work extremely hard for this Olympics. Since the International Olympics Committee announced China as the host country, they have been training really hard for this event, including the opening ceremony and the participants.

Since this is held in their homeland, they want to put in more effort than anyone else.

Yes but their weakness is that they will not catch up to the US in the athletics.

The Chinese were always in it to win.  They strive to get better, so no they weren't always this good, but they were always good.
