  1. Yes, Paul played great all year and was leading the Hornets to the #1 seed, It was when Gasol came that lakers took the #1 seed away. But Paul played great more often, but he is still young so there are more oppurtunities to win MVP but he deserved it last year.

  2. Chris Paul deserved the award

  3. No, but KG was robbed of the MVP award. He was without a doubt the most valuable player in the NBA last season.

  4. I'm impressed with your objectivity.  That is so rare these days with most Laker fans.  It's nice to see.  Um..I guess Kobe deserved to win the MVP this year, since it is based soley on regular season play.  But if I were going to choose a player to build a team around, it would definitely be Paul.  Don't worry, Paul will win a couple of MVPs before he retires.

  5. Maybe it's because I'm a CP3 fan, but, yes.Chris Paul brought a franchise that has been more than crappy back to life.(You don't hear Hornets winning a championship, even though they've been there 20++ years, now do you?).Kobe led a team that wasn't even failing, not to mention that the franchise have 14 championships.

Kobe might be the better player(for now),but I think Chris is a better leader and possibly become a better player than him a few seasons later.

  6. your not a lakers fan dude!

if you were a true lakers fan then you wouldnt be puttin down Kobe and the Lakers like you are!!!!!

  7. Lets just put it this way, Kobe didn't deserve ****. He was suppose to be MVP and look what he did, choked in the playoffs. Chris Paul really deserved the award. He help take his team all they way to the playoffs. He put up some nice numbers. Even Pierce should have gotten a chance to get MVP, look what he did for the Celtics. Kobe and the Lakers suck. I have no idea how he got MVP. Matter of fact, I still want to know how Dirk got MVP over Nash that year.

  8. typical colby fan club stuff

  9. Yes, he was. He made tyson chandler and david west better caz of the assists and the entire team better giving open shots to pllayters and making status for them if it werent him, west would be an average player. he carried the team. the MVP award was a fluke. it was prbably fake. Bryant probably gave money to get the MVP. he didnt make the teaM BETTER. it was Pau Gasol and Bynum(early in the season). if they didnt come or contribute, the Lakers would have been in 6th seeded and got sweep by the suns again or spurs. the only bryant can do is shoot and that is all

  10. yes

  11. Paul and Bryant were both extremely deserving of the MVP award. Personally, i believe they could have been co-MVPs, but from what the media released about the panel of voters who chose him, this is what i figured out.

Kobe has less chances in the next few years to win it, while Paul is way more years left to win it. So Kobe basically got SOME (not all) pity votes.

The fact that Kobe's and Paul's team were 1-2 in the West didn't help the decision. The fact that Kobe's team was #1 did.

The last thing they looked at was his past. Having never won an MVP before this, it is possible he picked up a few more "pity" votes.

Now don't get me wrong, I believe Bryant was very very deserving, way over Garnett, Pierce, James, etc. But Paul was on equal footing with him.

So to answer your question, Yes. Paul was robbed of it, but not by Kobe. By the pathetic voters who felt bad for him. Kobe deserves it for all that he did this previous season, and so did Paul, so Co-MVPs would have been the best option.

  12. hellz yea cp3 was the greatest i think kobe raped commisiner stern in order to get that award
