  1. I saw him in a dream once he looked like your average middle eastern, the bible did state he was tall though.

  2. The Bible doesn't say too much about His looks. We do know from Old Testament prophecies that He had a beard and that they pulled it out.

As far as physical shape He must have had very muscular legs because He walked everywhere He went. That would also have had to make Him kind of thin because of all the calories He burned up. So He had to be thin with muscular legs and also He was very common looking.

The Bible says this about His looks after He was tortured..."His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men. . . . He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. . . . And we hid as it were our faces from Him” (Isaiah 52:14; 53:2,3).

We do know one more thing for sure about Jesus. He probably had dark skin like the other Jews of His day. How light or dark we don't know but I'd say pretty dark.

He wasn't black like some blacks like to say because He wasn't African-American...He was Jewish.

Oh well, one day we will see Him face to face and know Him as He is.

  3. He was short, and wasn't too bony.

  4. That man was a built man. He could walk a mile in 15 minutes. He walked everywhere He went and He was a man who had lots of muscles. I'll be glad to hug my Jesus neck for what He has done for me. He gave me life here and life forever in heaven with Him

    Praise Jesus!!

  5. I believe he was muscled to some extent because he was living a rugged life but he certainly wasn't going to gyms to build up his muscles.  His total focus was on his ministry.

BTW, I disagree with St. Lurid about being short.  I believe he was about 6 feet tall and average weight, could have been a little underweight by our standards since he was exercising (by walking everywhere) so much and rarely had any rich food.

  6. he was a carpenter so you could imagine he was pretty beefy. with no beers to drink at lunch or dinner he wouldn't have a beer belly like most carpenters in the USA. his hands would also be very callus and his hair unkempt. he'd be tan for sure and his feet and heels with tan marks from his sandals. BAM!

  7. My pastor once claimed that it was known that Jesus was placed in the tomb with about 240 pounds of embalming agents, which was supposed to be equal to the body weight. This would put him at 240 pounds. We also know he did a lot of walking and worked as a carpenter. Carpenters in those times built houses using stones, requiring a lot of heavy lifting. I imagine Jesus was a rather bulky muscular guy. We'll find out for sure soon enough.

  8. He was a carpenter. No power tools, all hand work, maybe even the cutting of the trees and preparing the lumber.

So, best guess, when he chased the money changers out of the temple, no one was willing to stand in the way.

  9. I picture Jesus as a ninja, fightin' off evil samurai.

  10. The Bible gives no physical description of Jesus.  Probably to prevent people from making and worshiping images based on that description, or making "fad" out of his looks or fashions.

  11. I don't think he looked anything like the anorexic Person portrayed in painting of supposed him.Whats with the " No smiles" either?Anorexic and Unhappy? Now there's a two-fer.

  12. to be real does that question actually matters?
