I mean i haven't heard of any other royal in the world who has captivated the hearts of so many people.

Infact today's royals are rather boring. During Diana's days, she ruled the media and any magazine which had her image on it sold out in minutes.

Are there any royals in this day and age who can be compared to diana? I mean any princesses or queens today who are usually in the media spotlight or have done any kind of humanitarian work? If there are any, please tell me her name and what country she lives in.

  1. I agree with you that Princess Diana made a huge difference and did some amazing work. However, the royal who has always dedicated the most hours each year to charity work is Princess Anne. Princess Mary of Denmark also does a lot of charity work in Europe and Australia.

  2. No she wasn't the only one to make a difference but it was the way she made that difference that set her apart. William and Harry share many of her character traits that made her so loved but I think that because they're men they may have more trouble being viewed like Diana, since they obviously won't be fairy tale princesses. They're wives are going to be asked to produce the same kind of magic and its not for sure if they'll be able to do it, but they will be in all the papers for sure.

  3. Diana was the stupid pretty one, everybody knows one,  very beautiful but dumb as a rock and mean as a Snake.   Lucky for Charles that nice Camilla was there for him,  shes a doll.

  4. No, but as soon as Prince William and Prince Harry marry, that poor girl will be dragged across every tabloid in the world... so there will be more of that type of pagentry & spotlighting in the future.

Prince Harry once said, "  It's not easy being friends with us; we come with a lot of baggage".  Boy, is that the truth!

  5. Don't really think Diana made a difference.  Well, maybe to herself because if she wasn't out there, how was she to see her face in the papers every day?  I think England was scammed into believing that this immoral woman was some sort of saint and they bought it hook, line and sinker.  She maybe did make a difference:  got people to realize they need to wear their seatbelts!!

  6. No way. I cant think of any other royal at all that did as much good as Diana did.  Although her son's are doing well in following in her footsteps. To me there is no comparison. In fact the royal family stripped Diana of her "royal"  title because they did not approve of all the the good things she was doing.  If you watch specials about Diana, you will find all the good she did.  She was "the most photographed woman in the world". She couldnt go anywhere without flashbulbs going off.  She was a beautiful woman, but she had no privacy. In my opinion, Diana was a very kind-hearted person who wanted to do as much good as she possibly could.  Its a shame the media tabloids tried to make her sound bad, nothing you read in the tabloids is legit.  Its also a shame that she was taken away at such a young age and that her life ended so tragically.  I guess since she couldnt help as many people as she wanted to, that God made her an angel,  so she could do all the things she wanted to do all over the world.  Even today she still rules the media. Especially with the recent 10th anniversary of her death on Sept. 31st.  Hope this helps.  :)

  7. Prince Philip has done a great service to the UK and the Commonwealth by establishing the Duke of Edinburgh awards. Prince Charles started the Prince's Trust which has helped countless young people to complete their education and start their own businesses. Princess Anne is well known for her charity work.

Diana may have gotten most of the publicity, but she wasn't the only royal working to make a difference for people.

  8. Yes she was the best

  9. I would also suggest Queen Victoria as an example. When she came to the throne, the royals were nearly bankrupt and considered,"Pauper Monarchs" by the aristrocracy at the time. Thru her perserverance, she not only started building up the family fortune thru careful investments, and she made the family more public friendly -not standoffish as her predecessors had been.

  10. Obviously you are too young to remember the Duke of Windsor.
