  1. Not really. He didn't write his own lyrics. Most of his songs were written by other people, he only added a few lyrics to a few of his songs. And he couldn't actually play guitar, really. He could only play it a bit, not well. He had a good voice, but nothing too special.

I think The beatles (played their own instruments, Lennon's amazing lyrics) had more of an effect.

  2. i think the beattles were up there too

  3. Elvis definitely had the greatest effect on the music industry.  The Beatles are a close second.  Michael Jackson sold a lot of albums but I don't think he had as much effect on others as Elvis and the Beatles.

  4. if it wasn't for elvis, half the music we hav today probably wouldn't exsist!!

im a huge fanof elvis - he was amazingly talented, nd i mean come on, he invented rock n roll!!

nd im not just saying that coz im a fan - he actually created rock n roll - b4 he came along, it was called rock-a-billy! nd it was nothing like it is today!

he was a musical genius! some of my friends make fun of me, coz im onyl 17, which some ppl consider me to be too young to like elvis, ha lol ur never too young to appreciate gd music! nd just because elvis is dead, doesn't mean he's gone - elvis will never be gone, his music will always remain, so long as hisfans do!

i agree, the music industry would never have been what is today, if it wasn't for elvis presley!! he inspired loads of artists - ur right, ppl say that the beatles r way better than elvis, if it wasn't for elvis, the beatles probs wouldn't exsist!! lol ok my rant is getting really long now lmao

so ill wrap it up - elvis rules! nd dnt ever forget it!! haha x

  9. The Beatles beat him out...but he was THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL,,,,and will always be,,,

  10. Nope the beatles. You can hear influences of the beatles in almost anything, but i can't from elvis.

  11. I'd say no, because the likes of Bill Haley and his comets were around before who opened the way for Rock n Roll music, but even that was predated by Wyonnie Harris in 1947.

  12. I think the beatles had the biggest effect on popular music this century.

  13. i think michael jackson was

  14. Al Jolson and Bing Crosby had more effect than Presley.
