  1. Not particularly... she worked on the Equal Rights Amendment which advocated equal rights for women under the law and she was part of the Presidential Advisory Committee for Women, so she believed in equality. She developed her career, but she was also a housewife and a mother. Some may call her a feminist, but I wouldn't say the label fits her in the stereotypically radical way... more in the genuinely wanting equality way.

  2. i guess by the answers she was.

but by golly she was funny!

  3. Yes Erma was a feminist she was a supporter of the movement but like many of us she hated the exclusion of the housewife or as they are called now the stay at home mom.  Though some feminist felt that she worked against the movement they were wrong and selfish.  She wanted women's rights for all women.  The only time I have an issue with a stay at home mom is when she decides to take issues with my choices.  I think we all deserve to choose our mistakes and our own victories.

  4. She was most definitely a feminist.  I read her books and columns and watched her TV appearances for years; you didn't.  She strongly believed that women should determine their own paths in life.

  5. Erma Bombeck was a humorist.
