Was Gore's speech for clean energy in 10 years planned? Is he trying to beat T. Boone Pickens' plan?

Where did this come from? He recently spent $30 million on advertising and not on building or researching renewable energy sources. What's his deal? Is Gore just trying to come in and take credit? Did the advertising for T. Boone Pickens' plan come as a threat to Gore?

  1. I'd suggest you stop looking for ways to find fault, start using the leverage provided by both these men and do your part to help our planet. Whether you like either of these men, they are trying to help and they have the kind of clout that most people could only dream about. They are taking a lot of flack that each of us should be sharing. What are you doing to help? What can I do to help? Our way of life is in serious jeopardy and we'd better get started changing it now. And what would you do with 30 million dollars? Would you give it to the poor or build a huge solar power plant or would you get a full body tatoo, get drunk and buy a boat?

  2. Alright, I'm not saying I know Al Gore or anything, but I thought they were working toward the same goal. Correct me if I'm wrong, or are you being predjudice?

  3. Stop trying to kill our plants!!! Without CO2 the plants will not recycle the CO2 into O2 for us .

  4. Interesting contrast between what faux environmentalist Gore invests his family oil derived fortune from in compared to that of confirmed oil billionaire and petro corporate raider T. Boone Pickens spends his on.  The latter is actually putting his money where Al Gore's mouth is.

  5. Why does everyone pick on someone who is trying to do good work.

Let's face it, the average American has no clue who T. Boone Pickens is. I've never heard of him. If he made the same speach, would it have made the evening news?

Al Gore is a spokesperson for the movement. Most of us know who he is, and many of us respect his opinion. The fact that the words are coming from his mouth lends a certain credibility for many people.

Renewable energy can't become a reality unless he and others can get the American public to think it is viable and important.
