Perhaps this has been asked before, but I can't help wondering how Bristol Palin felt being paraded on stage, in front of millions of people, from all over the world after her mother "outed" her pregnancy.

  1. If she didn't make the announcement, the media would have put her daughter through worse. "Outing her" was protecting her.  Bristol looked like she was calm to me.

  2. Welcome to YA, newbie! What brings you here: business or entertainment?

To answer your question, I think she needed to before the opposition party splashed it in the headlines. So, yes, she was a good mother.

  3. She was telling the voters since it would come out but she hasnt took us everything yet, Watch the news

  4. Palin supports an abstinence-only health education.

I don't understand that, since it obviously didn't work in her household. And even for herself--8 months after she married her husband, her first son was born.

Also, generally I don't think she's a good mother since there have been photos circulated of her daughter drinking alcohol. A good mother should have taught contraception, even if abstinence was emphasized.

She was not forced to, to dispel the rumors about her youngest child with down syndrome being Bristol's. She did it to save her own image.

  5. She didn't have a choice due to the media splashing rumors that her newborn baby Trig was her daughters baby which is impossible if Bristol is 5 months pregnant already.  She is showing and I am sure the someone would have figured it out eventually.

  6. Blame the liberal media who chose to crucify Palin because her daughter-like many teenage girls- had unprotected s*x.

  7. Can I help buy you a TV because obvious you haven't seen pictures of Bristol?  You think about it if it is possible to hide a 5 month pregnancy.

  8. It would have been outed either way. This let them do it on their terms, not those of a hostile media.Or did you forget how the left was talking about Trig, whether Bristol was the mother of him and her Dad the father among other horrible salacious slanders?

  9. The pregnancy was kept a secret until something juicer was spreading through the internet.

The woman has more secrets than your bimbo on Desperate Housewives.

No wonder the Republicans are keeping Palin under the Candidate Protection Program. It all sounds so shady. How can she protect any one else, let alone the country?

  10. She was in damage control cause the National Enquirer was about to do a story and the blogs were on her like a hound.  (see the link below, towards the end of the story)

The worst part is the damage control includes forcing her daughter into a quickie marriage at the age of 17...almost insuring a disaster.   And all to protect her political career.....very sad.

  11. Please, stop with the personal jabs at Palin - you don't care one iota for Bristol's psychological well-being.

  12. actually a lot of families are started just this way. everyone seems to think that it was some one night stand and the father ran away. this is not the case. well...maybe in obama's case.

  13. About the poorest example of a mother period.

Can you imagine if a Democrat's teenage daughter had been unfortunate to get pregnant, what we would be hearing from the

    always right Right ?

Immoral, Planned Parenthood educated, lousy parenting plus

every vile description known to them.

And I am so angry at Bristol's mother and father to expose this

young girl to the whole world. I am already getting feedback from different parts of the globe (I am a medical translator) about this

    unbelievable behavior of the Palins.

  14. The world would be more mad if they found out the hard way. It was going to come out eventually.

  15. I don't think she had a choice, her daugher is 5 months and showing.  That's why when McCain introduced her to the nation Bristol was holding Trig to cover her baby bump.  OH the scandals, loves it.

  16. She got in first so it didn't look like she was hiding it. She would have been a better mother if she suggested to her daughter she use birth control if she wants to be the town bike.

  17. Sarah is a good mother and a good politician.  You can raise as many questions as you like but America loves her.  Were the public being good citizens when they spread the trash that Sarah's baby was actually Bristol's?!!

  18. telling people publicly would stop as much stress from people accusing her. this way she can be herself and not worry about "omg people are gonna find out" this way she can be happy and not be afraid :) and doesnt have to worry about being hiden. and im sure if it was a problem she wouldnt have let her mom do that...

  19. the world knew she was pregnant because the media ate it up when they found out. As for as being a good mother, why do you care? is it going to change your vote or are you seriously concerned about Bristol and the well being of their family? Get real

  20. I am not here to judge her. If it were a man, this question wouldn´t even be asked.

It was the media who made it a circus.  Despite her family issues, I think she is still a champion for woman all over the country.  A working, regular mom, for VP, its priceless!

  21. Better question: was Palin being a good conservative when she told her daughter to choose whether or not she wants to keep the baby and she will support her "decision"?  Finally, a perfect example of the flawed pro-life conservatives!  This did occur and she has admitted this!  It's easy to hate on other's choices but it makes a difference if it is your own daughter, and you're not choosing to keep a perfectly developed down-syndrome baby (this should be a given, not a choice).

  22. Hypocrite.  Abstinence only didn't work.  Isn't it time her daughter had basic education about ovulation, fertility and contraception?  She want privacy for her daughter but not for American citizens.

    Watch these:

You see why he picked her.  We saw this live on a 38 inch screen with TIVO rewind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13LRTrxC_...

It is quite troubling what she knows about the VP spot.  Also, when asked if corruption might hurt her she said, "no, why would it."  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pak-rH0dC...

  23. Do you think they could hide it?  When you're in public life it's best to be honest.  The child is old enough to get pregnant; she is old enough to have her mother talk about it.

  24. She only did it to silence the disgusting lies being spread by the left, saying that Trig was Bristol's.

  25. She was forced to since idiots were accusing Bristol of being the mother of the Down Syndrome baby actually

  26. She didn't want people to happen to find out and make it seem like she was hiding it so she tried to take the high road, but after last night that lady has no high road.

  27. I got my wife knocked up and we got married when she was eight months pregnant..

MY daughter had the same thing happen..

If you do the crime you do the time

Why should Sarah Palin suffer just because he daughter used poor

judgement? The truth is the truth..most of the marriages in the US

fail..over half..how many single moms are raising kids with no DADDY?

  28. People with her mindset are questionable.

  29. That`s neither good nor bad, it`s strictly a family affair. I don`t care who`s pregnant or who `s sleeping with who. What worries me is someone with such little political knowledge being a VP.

  30. I'm sure she gave her permission to be introduced. Besides, why hide? Nothing to be ashamed about.

  31. I cant comment on that since there isnt a specific definition for "good mother" and i'm not a mom

But i will say this. If i got picked for veep and my 17 year old daughter was pregnant, i wouldnt broadcast it to the nation. That is my family's business and the nation doesnt need to know about it. I certainly dont see it as a "boost" for my political image. If the public finds out, then oh well. I probably wouldnt deny it (it is the truth) but i wouldnt just say it at will.
