Was Higgins victory against Selby a shock?

Having just won the Masters with a quite outstanding performance in the final against Ronnie O’Sullivan, many had expected Mark Selby to reach the final of the 2010 Welsh Open.

It wasn’t to be, though. A 5-2 defeat at the hands of John Higgins today was somewhat of a shock; but his Scottish opponent has looked very, very consistent in this tournament so far.
