It was $4.45 in the pricey part of town and I was on "E." My car gets 30 MPG, so I just bought a gallon till I get to my town, where it's $4.02. Was I being a cheapskate?

  1. nope i would have done the same

  2. You buy whatever you want and don't worry about it.  Do you think some guy in the gas station is sitting around thinking, "Man, that dude from last week sure was a cheapskate."

  3. I don't think so.

  4. No.  I have done that before.  Why pay more when you don't have to?

  5. Holy Cow!!!! why didn't I think of that!!! d**n..........Thanks for the idea!!!! :)

  6. No. There is no need to buy more gas than you want or need. You were being economical and wise to wait till you got back to your town to fill up. .43/gal. difference is quite a lot.

  7. not at all - it was a smart idea.

  8. not at all

for that big of a difference, I would have done the same

  9. no just being realistic

  10. nope not at all,, i have done that before,,

  11. no you were being smart.

  12. When you consider that a few years ago you could have filled your tank for that no.  They are the ones who should feel guilty not you..! next time ask for a dollars worth and ask them to f**t in your tyres..Serves them right.

  13. Who cares you saved some $$$$

  14. It depends on what your time is worth to you.  I have a 13 gallon tank, so I would only save $5.59 in your scenario.  I only want to stop once, so paying $5.59 more is worth it to me, but ONLY if I couldn't make it to the cheaper gas station.

  15. no. you were being SMART.

    good job :]
