I took a job with a company already. Today, I went to another interviews just for an experience. They putted me to various tests. Then, they want me to do foreign language keyboard test and computer test. (I did not expect the tests at all)

I hardly use the foreign keyboard. I knew it will take me over 3 hours to complete it. I told them, I cannot do the keyboard because I don't know how to do it. They said, it is okay. They asked me to do computer test. I can do that, but I just don't want to waste anybody time because I am sur -they will not pick me and I will not take the job. Therefore, I told them the truth, I already had a job offer from other company. I am no longer interested in the position and don't want to continue the test.

Was I a loser?

****

P.S. They still wanted to interview me. I told them I will work with other companies regardless because I already signed the contract.

  1. nope! i've interviewed for other jobs while having other offers!  you never know when something might be better out there!

  2. The truth will always come out and its better coming out of your mouth then any other way.

    You are not a loser.

  3. Not a loser, but next time someone calls you with a job interview, tell them you've already found work, so they can better use their time in finding someone who's interested in working for them.

  4. Not a loser, but you could have kept the act up for a bit longer! Sounds like you're just trying to gain experience and they can't fault you for that.

  5. Potential employers expect you to be honest. No, you're not a loser!

  6. Some companies offer a higher pay rate if you are bilingual.  If you have another job offer, you did the right thing.

  7. You should've simply declined the interviews instead of attending them simply for a "experience."

  8. they putted you?

    thats not a word....

It sounds like you did the right thing.

  9. You will not get the job and you should not have gone to the interview if you weren't truly interested. You selfishly wasted the time of the people doing the interviewing for an "experience" you didn't have because you didn't carry through on any of the tasks. If I were that company I would not ever hire you and please keep in mind that the generation will not retire from the job you're working now and you will likely be out there again.
