Question:

Was I mistreated at my work?

My boss yelled at everyone, but he never yelled at me because I worked the hardest. Then he hired three Chinese ladies, and made me and some kid paint in the heat of the day. And he let those women do nothing. He sat around and flirted with them. And he yelled at me my last day of work. I heard he had had an argument with his Asian wife, and that's why he was even yelling at me.

I decided to peacefully quit my petty, min wage college job.

What do you think of this situation? I wrote his superiors and got silence.

  1. Yes, I think you were mistreated.  If your employer is yelling at you he or she needs a darned good reason to do it.  Its abuse to yell at your employees unless they really deserve it for something.

  2. yeah my boss is asian and she always takes my

pay and the pay of my co-workers if we make a mistake

you where right to quit but there was nothing you could do

unless you truly got abused!! so you did the right thing by

quiting i hope it goes good in the future for you!!

  3. As long as he did not call you out of your name or touched you, then I would have left also.  No one has the right to yell at you are any employee.  If you reported him to his supervisor and have not heard from them, then you should go further up the line.  Because if he yelled at you, then he will do this to other employees. If you don't get anywhere with the company, just chalk it up as a new experience.  I also don't believe I would use them as a reference either. They could give you a bad rap.

  4. nothing illegal about what he did it. Move on

  5. It sounds like you are much better off!

It really sucks, I know, but you will find something better, believe me.

  6. Get over it. You sound like a whiner.

  7. you don't work there anymore - so forget about it - or
