I was on the phone with one of my best friends and she said she wanted a purity ring because the Jonas brothers have one, I told her that was stupid and a purity ring is an important thing a promise to keep yourself pure till marriage and you shouldn't want one because the jonas brothers have one. She got mad at me and said I was wrong for telling her that even though she did want one only because they had one...

  1. Well if she's ur best friend then u did right in telling her straight thats wat friends do tell the truth even when it can hurt feelings thats why they're call best friends...dont worry if ur as close as u think she'll get over it.

  2. yeah she should have her own reasons but u REALLY could have been nicer

  3. you were right but maybe you could've said it in a nicer way or something

  4. u were right but u should have been much more harsh

she shouldnt be ur friend if she worships the jonas brothers

    dump her

  5. eh..she'll probably end up taking it off once the jonas brother aren't so big.

    don't worry about it.

  6. You are right.  A purity ring is suppose to be a symbol that you are remaining pure until marriage and is ment to be a personal promise, not  a symbol for your love of some stupid band.  I hope your friend gets some thick skin and listens to you

  7. No you were right.

You weren't tactful, but you were right.

You probably should have been a bit more sensitive about it.

  8. idk, it's sounds like your were a bit harsh. but you were right for the information you had. i mean how were you supposed to know that that wasn't the only reason?.

my philosophy with dealing with friends that say questinable things is to just keep my mouth shut to avoid drama.

  9. You were right, but could have been more sensitive... obviously, you acknowledge that. :) Next time, take a deep breath before you speak, and speak with a smile.

And the promise to stay pure isn't just about s*x. It's also about the heart... if you're in love with the Jonas brothers, you've given a part of your heart away that your future husband will never have...

  10. you were totally right.

but you probably should have said it in a different way.

you were def right though and it was a good thing to be said.

  11. You weren't wrong you were just telling her what you thought and it is stupid to have one just because they do you should only get one if you want to do it for yourself not to follow someone else

  12. this is absolutely right, purity rings are special, and meaningful. my mom gave me her old one, and it means the world to me. this shouldn't be a game.. this is a real christan promise, and shouldn't be taken as a game

  13. I agree with you, tell her that she shouldn't get mad over that.

  14. You could have been nicer about it. But she needs to know that it's more than a piece of jewelry and that's it's not ok to wear on just because the Jonas Brothers have them.

  15. What a poser.  You're completely right.  She should want one for her OWN reasons.  Not because she's trying to be like some icky haired boy band.

  16. Yeah, you could have said it a bit nicer I guess, but no. You're right, she shouldn't get a purity ring just because her celebrity crushes have em.

  17. you were right. doesn't matter how "insensitive" you were about it, you're right, and you told her your honest opinion.

no one should get a purity ring because the jonas brothers have one. that's not even a good band...

  18. shes retarded if she wants one just bc the jonas brothers do..

  19. you were right, shell probably just have t while theyre popular and once they become not so popular forget about it, cause she porabaly wont stick with it unelss she really believes it
