Was Italy robbed in the Olympics? ?

I was watching the Italy vs Belgium soccer match today and noticed multiple bad calls against Italy. The first goal by Belgium the ball did not cross the line and it was called a goal. And when Italy received a yellow card for diving in the box, the replay showed the Belgium goalie grabbed his foot. There are a few more but was Italy robbed? Is the world tired of Italy winning in soccer?

Hi I'm an italian boy... Italy was robbed in the Olympics but in my view Belgium (that played in ten men) has merited the victory!! Byeee!!

yeah, refs are out to kill italy. its stupid. i cant understand why italy FIGC doesnt lodge complaint to UEFA and FIFA and DEMAND an explanation for these calls???

WC02, WC06, Euro 08 and now olympics 08. how much worse can it get???

yes, and the reason is that FIFA wants Brazil to win the gold medal and Italy is a thought team to beat in finals.

I agree with you 110%! Italy was robbed and I am pissed about it! Belgium's first goal didn't even cross the line!!!!!! The ref made so many bad calls, it was unbelievable. Oh and then Rossi "dived" in the penalty and was given a yellow card, when the goalie clearly grabbed at his feet! What BS! I was so upset. I truly believe that Italy deserved to go further, they played fantastic in the group stage and then to enter this game and have all those bad calls was just so upsetting.

whether robbed or not, they did get 2 penalty kicks and they could not get the ball in the net another time to win the game

the officiating was horrible...there was more.....but this isn't a new story, especially for italy. People claim they are a lucky team but i think it is quite the opposite. Too many of these situations occur with them and its getting terribly annoying. But of course be prepared to get comments from haters claiming that you are "making excuses" or that they "forget to pay the ref".....thats pretty much the story around here when it comes to italy getting screwed over

The rest of the world wants to get us!!! But I don't mind that much when Spain try,bcuz I like them as well.
