Don't get me wrong I'm delighted he won a silver medal but watching the fight this morning I have to agree with the pundits Egan was robbed. In the third round he annihilated Zhang Xiaoping, if the bout had of been judged fairly Egan would have been ahead by 2 or 3 points instead of down by 2.This comes on the back of the British athlete successfully overturning a disgraceful mistake by the judge (which happened right under his nose) in the taekwondo quarterfinal against her Chinese opponent.I'm not big into conspiracy theories but I can't help but feel aggrieved for Egan. Is it simply a coincidence that the two above incidents involved Chinese athletes or is it blatant cheating? Every time Egan looked like drawing level with Zhang his successful hits were discounted. If this had of been the London Olympics would it have been a different result? http://www.rte.ie/sport/olympics2008/2008/0824/egank_.htmlhttp://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/24082008/58/beijing-2008-stevenson-bronze-rollercoaster-day.html
