  1. no one is really sure of the difference between the truth and the legends. there was a king aurther. but i highly doubt he realy pulled a magic sword out of a stone but you never know. it could be true.

    No-one knows for sure.

  3. Some like to think so....I think it possible.

  4. there is evidence to suggest that King Arthur was a Saxon king part of the dark ages. He is also said to be son Uther Pendragon and Igraine of Cornwall. He may have gained fame as a warrior due to fighting off Germanic invaders during the late 5th and early 6th centuries.

However, the legend surrounding him is just that. A legend. A legend has some basis in fact but over the centuries this fact may have been lost or distorted into the romanticised legend of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table we know of today.

  5. Pro-ba-bly not.  As the Wikipedia articles about him demonstrate, he appears to be based on a War Leader (Dux Bellorum) of the post-Roman era who set back the Saxon Conquest of Britain for about a hundred years at the Battle of Badon Hill.  Now Dux Bellorum has evolved into the modern aristocratic title of Duke.  So Arthur, if he was real, was probably a duke.  He could have been a King, and he was very likely but not absolutely certainly real, but he was most likely a great general.

  6. no, because king arthur like to be a general in the dark ages rather than a king and i assure you that.

  7. King Arthur is a Celtic legend set in the Dark Ages based on a real person.

Lucius Artorius Castus 200ce was a military commander of ancient Rome who guarded Hadrians Wall. The story of Artorius became the basis of the later King Arthur ledgends.
