He was really upset you could read it in his face. His mimics, shushing the Spain fans etc. were all signs that he was actually upset as he realized he could not play as good as he wanted and the crowd was not chanting 'Kobe,Kobe' but rather 'Rudy,Rudy'.

So yeah, he was really unhappy.

I do not think he was upset, he is used to white guys from other countries schooling him. He learned in Italy, but not only him, the Chinese gaurds, almost all the guards from other countries schooled ours except in traps and def.

No, Kobe won the gold.  Rudy just dunked it hard on Dwight Howard and helped keep the Spanish right up there with the US until the end when he fouled out when Kobe hit the clutch trey.

I'm not sure Kobe was upstaged by Fernandez.  Rudy's a good player and I think he'll be an All-Star.  Sorta reminds me of Manu Ginobili.  Kobe's the best in the world though.  The closest thing to Jordan playing right now.  For that matter the whole philosophy of USA Basketball was Team First.  Kobe bought into that and didn't try for individual achievements.

kobe was the one guarding rudy for the majority of the gold medal game..when rudy dunked on howard it was kobes fault for letting rudy blow post him. howard was just trying to cover for kobes inability to guard rudy and got posterized for his efforts..
