  2. Yes. Larry joined RCR in 1997, and  was Dale's crew chief when he won the Daytona 500 in 1998.

  3. Yep he sure was, he was his crew chief when he finally got that Daytona 500 win....Great win for RCR, Larry and Dale Sr..  R.I.P. Dale Sr..

  4. Yep.  Larry was the guy on the pit box when Big E finally won the Daytona 500. Unfortunately, they didn't get the results they had anticipated from their partnership, what with both of them being at the top of their game.  Larry wrote about it in his book.  He attributed their lack of results to the injury Sr. sustained  during a race at Talladega (can't remember the year).  Sr. didn't feel comfortable in the car for a long time after that, and the results reflected that.  He was in more pain than he let on, and it affected his driving.

  5. Yes.  He joined Richard Childress Racing in 1996, and helped NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt win the 1998 Daytona 500.
