Was Lebron James better than Magic Johnson?

I'm just talking about his stats and nothing else during their rookie seasons.. Were they pretty close stat wise?

Yes they both had very good rookie years and that was the year that both Lebron and Magic showed people they were about more then the points and obviously showed they can contribute in any part of the game (points, steals, rebounds..etc) but also showed a little spark of leadership in them especially Lebron in a time Cleveland needed it most. Hope this helped but Magic had a little bit of a better of a rookie year overall. As for who's better in general ... only time will tell.

Stats don't make up a baller in opinion. someone could have 0 Points and pass the game winning assist and that would make them a good player since they performed under pressure. Stats might show something over a career but I don't think a single season means anything.
