  1. 18 months of formal education during that time was considered a lot.


  2. Not sure what you mean by "formal education."  He grew up in what the average schooling was back then, plus enough reading to become a lawyer and a congressman, before running for president.

  3. Lincoln wouldn't have been able to run in the modern election.  He didn't have the looks or the education.  Funny isn't it?

    those are the only requirements for President - read the Constitution.
