Im sure everyone knows the answer, MJ had the 6 Finals MVP's. But in one of his books, im not sure which one, Phil Jackson said Scottie Pippen was the real leader of the Bulls. We know MJ was the best, but which of the two do you think was the real leader of the Bulls??

  1. M.J was the leader, but he didn't have much leadership until Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson came alone.

Pippen was a great player, but with M.J in his path it's hard for him to get regonized for it, if you really watch the Bulls game back then, you would find that Pippen was a defensive leader for the team, even though M.J won a DPOY award, Pippen's defense allows M.J excel at defense, just like Duncan allows Bowen to be an effective defender.

  2. Pippen. Look at MJ's stats before he had Pippen, he was not called the best player in the NBA until he got Pippen. They didn't say he made his teammates better until he got better teammates. Look at MJ with the Wizards and Pippen with the Blazers. MJ was sitting at home during the playoffs and Pippen was within one win of the Finals. Pippen did better without Jordan than Jordan did without Pippen. Not opinion, it's fact, look it up everyone.

  3. Phil Jackson was the leader

  4. Scottie was the Bulls!....and to the person above!

Only a Jordan jocker would think MJ deserved all 6 Finals MVP's.....

How many winning season's did MJ have without Scottie?

How many playoff games did MJ win without scottie?

How many all defensive teams did MJ make without Scottie?

    don't worry I'll wait........

  5. ummm really it was phil jackson

  6. michael jordan

  7. MJ is the real leader although Scottie is the BEST teammate MJ could ever have... MJ couldn't have won a single championship without Scottie around, and it is a fact!  Scottie made MJ the best basketball player ever and MJ made Scottie the best Scottie Pippen there is..

  8. John Paxson, B.J. Armstrong, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper

Pippen was the true leader of the team.  Jordan was the best player on the team.

  9. Mj was the leader he won 6 Finals MVP's  how many Scottie Pippen won??? dont worry i will wait 4 the answer

    Still waitin

  10. mj

  11. Dude....read Stephen A. Smith's article in ESPN the magazine.  It has interesting take on MJ role on the bulls team.   Scottie was probably the best player on the floor a lot of times, but JOrdan is the one that got all the scrubs like weenington, luc longley, paxon, kerr to believe in themselves and play above themselves.  Pippen didn't have that love in the locker room.

  12. Scottie was the most Underrated person on the team.   Scottie was the man behind the scenes making it al work.  Your right.

  13. Phill Jackson was the leader of the Bulls then later the Lakers.

Both the Bulls and Lakers could not win a thing without Phill.

  14. There are different types of leaders. Maybe MJ led more by example, and Pippen led as a vocal leader. I'm just saying this, since I wasn't there, I've never read any books about it, and I've never talked to anyone involved.
