After browsing the links given below, decide for yourself.  Notice the portrait that shows a teenage Maria Antoinette with brunette hair instead of the usual powdered wig. Undoubtedly, as a foreigner, she was a convenient scapegoat for French revolutionaries.

S.  Maria Antoinette definitely wasn't a Medieval Monarch since the Middle Ages lasted from the fall of Roman in the 4th century CE to the end of the 15th century (about the time Columbus discovered the New World).  The French Revolution, which brought down the French Monarchy, took place between 1789 and 1799, approximately a decade after the American Revolution started.  Indeed, some historians believe that French sponsorship of the American colonies'  fight for independence was one of the indirect causes of the Revolution..
