  1. she was not wrongfully beheaded, because she liked to have parties and other stuff that used alot of money, then when their money was spent, they took from the royal treasury, the taxes growing to an unreasonable rate. They people, not being able to stand it, rebelled and killed the queen.

  2. She was the queen and her husband spent as much as she did. The rich didnt care about the poor the more that died the more they didnt have to see roting in the street begging for money. The rich were very high on themselves and only thought of themselves.

  3. yeah , neither Louis or marie were prepared for thier roles to rule france properly, Louis was never expected to be king so really its his grandfather's fault for not thinking ahead.

  4. I think she was.

  5. Didn't DO anything?  Do you know ANYTHING about what was going on, the debauchery that she persued? the amount of money she spent on clothing, and jewelry?  This is EXACTLY why she was beheaded!  The people of France, starving for generations, had watched their Royals live massively high on the hog, and in such immoral lifestyles, that they decided to be done with them.  That was EXACTLY WHY the French Revolution happened!  And SHE was so much more the symbol of that than even Louis was!

    "Let them eat cake" Indeed!

The corruption of the French Royalty that had been a problem for almost 200 years culminated with her.

  6. Guilt by association

  7. she was a symbol of absolute royalty, and people were rebelling against that. louis XVI didn't really deserve it either. people do cruel things in times in which they are experiencing raw anger.

  8. Marie Antoinette enjoyed her beauty style, but her fashion fame came at a price. By the late 1780s, envy and hatred of Marie Antoinette were widespread. Many at court had always opposed the Austrian alliance, and had resented her efforts to intercede on occasion for Austrian causes. Many others among the nobility were envious of the Queen and insulted by her dismissal of court etiquette, preference for her small court circle and the patronage she wielded on their behalf.

Thus, disaffected members of the nobility became fertile sources for dirt on the queen. They fabricated and circulated scurrilous stories about the Queen and her private life. Stories accused of all sort of sexual acts with men and women of the court, of sending funds to Austria, and challenged the paternity of the royal children. She was stripped of her riches and finery, imprisoned and beheaded on charges of treason by her own subjects during the French Revolution that began in 1789.
