In great fact his cousin ALi mostly fought for him and the name of 'islam', ali was known to be the strongest islamic military but also was known for fighting in the most just way ever.

The negative side of this was later on that his sons, wife and grandsons/ daughters were severely and brutally tortured and murdered.

And that's why some muslims till this day praise him and pray to Allah through him and his sons. and also why most muslims despise the mention of his name and call it shirk ( associating a godly partner with thee God 'Allah the almighty'.- so that they avoid any mention of his sacrifice for islam.

Yes he was.  I read he only killed one person himself but he had a way of getting his followers to kill, millions throughout islam's existence.  He was like Hitler.

Prophet Mohammed Peace Be Upon him was a great general and to all those saying that he killed many all i have to say that mercy actually came from ISLAM and to free prisoners and not to kill them. Regarding killing if someone attacks yourself and your faith and is there to take your life and your brothers and sisters what would you do just let them or would you attack them and defend.Personally educate yourself before answering.

even if your arguements are corret then leaders today are great leaders for killing thousands of innocent people and also many other historic leaders as they killed innocent people for power and status making them great generals

Is fighting against your oppressors killing? War is never the best way to go, but Muhammad tried fighting the peaceful way, and his followers were tortured and murdered, men, women, and children alike. DId Muhammad murder women and children? NO. Did Muhammad torture any of the captives of war? NO. In fact, they were treated as guests, and given better food and clothing than their own army gave them. This is well noted in non-Islamic history as well. The Islamic codes of war are the most honorable in existance (that does not mean all "Muslims" follow them)

Not so much "great" as exceedingly violent. Saladin was a much greater military general than Muhommad.
