Was Nick Van Exel a good basketball player?

Question

Im not sure if he was a bust or something because im watching a video and there saying hes a very clutch player i just want to make sure that thats true.

He played for the Lakers i think

Yea, he was a good player.  He had good runs with the Nuggets and the Lakers.  But it just started going down hill when he was with Dallas and then came over to Golden State in the deal.  

I think he was clutch.  I remember him hitting a HUGE three for the Warriors a few years back.

no he's not a bust by any means. he was a headache for coaches when he was younger. but he's no bust he was drafted in the 2nd round 37 overall out of Cincinnati. but rumors about his personality dropped him into the second round. nick "the quick" van exel was a flashy playmaker and an extremely clutch shooter. his play helped the lakers during a brief brief playoff drought and was instrumental in the playoff teams that followed with eddie jones, shaq and kobe bryant as the lakers had four all-stars named to the NBA All-Star in 1998.

Yes. Nick was one of my favorite players in the 90's. Very flashy PG that was a great scorer.

His best days were with the Los Angeles Lakers. He played with Eddie Jones at SG and Shaq at Center. Kobe was coming off the bench at this time. He also made the 1998 all star game. He averaged 21 a game with the Nuggets. Nick Van Exel was great.
