  1. a very good one.

  2. It is a desperation selection that tells the American voters that McCain needs more votes than what he has to win. He needs some Hillary Clinton voters, Yet she is so far from what Hillary stands for that it may backfire, and he may lose votes, because some republicans will have a hard time voting for a woman. Sad but true!

  3. I strongly disagree with your first poster. I am not of the far left and unfortunately, I feel that she would only appeal to the far right. That said, while I respect her for her beliefs and sticking to them, (Having a down syndrome kid and not getting an abortion) I think that a lot of women will eventually be turned off by her ideals. McCain, while creating a lot of buzz and stealing some of Obama's thunder with his pick, will eventually be doomed. I think that most women are pretty smart, and will see this as obvious pandering to them. I think that when it sinks in, many women will actually be a little insulted by his decision. In simple terms, he figures he can get Hillary voters by ensuring his VP candidate has a v****a. (He met her only once before selecting her) I think this could bite him in the rear.

As far as Palin goes, I think that she could set herself up for a wonderful political career if she plays her cards right.

  4. By far Palin is a better choice than crusty Biden.

She IS going to shake things up and look good doing it.

  5. Only as a beauty contestant other wise she is a disaster.

That woman can not be allowed foot inside the Whitehouse especially since McCain is too steps away from his final resting place.

  6. Personally, I have mixed feelings regarding the choice of Palin for the GOP Vice President Nomination.

It almost seems that the choice of Palin is a shallow attempt to sway Hillary supporters into voting Republican for a woman. Also, it seems a bit irresponsible of Senator McCain to choose someone with less than 2 years experience at the federal level, especially as he is approaching the life expectancy of the average American man.

However, Palin is a Washington outsider, which is something that McCain does need to stand a chance in the next election. She is not the typical Republican, and has been given an amazing opportunity to bring her causes into the spotlight. She has proven herself to be against corruption in government, and is a champion of the environment and energy independence.

Her positions on issues are defined and well supported by her actions and policies. She is a pro-life politician who went through with giving birth to her 5th child, who had been determined to have Down's Syndrome early on in her pregnancy. She is a member of the NRA and supports the 2nd admendment. She is critical of the lack of structure in the Iraq War, but does not oppose it.

So to sum it up, Sarah Palin has her pros and cons as a VP Candidate. She is relatively unexperienced, and is rather out of the loop when it comes to some national issues. However, she also has a clean record and is working for a kind of change.

My analysis is that in 2012, Palin would be the ideal candidate to fill the VP spot on a ticket. She is definitely headed in the right direction towards political success, but I think her professional resume needs a bit more on it. Also, I think she would be better off running with a different candidate who is more in touch with the idea of change, so that the ticket wouldn't have to face allegations that she and McCain do  not have the same vision for America. Also, I am interested to see how she will stand up to Joe Biden in the Vice Presidential debate.

In one (or two) sentence(s): Sarah Palin is a great political champion who will do great things, perhaps even ascend to the Oval Office one day, but I do not think that the McCain '08 ticket is her path to success. McCain is going to face a lot of criticism from the press, independents, and the opposition for his choice, and frankly, the ticket is a political reincarnation of "The Odd Couple".

  7. Bill had Monica..

    Bob has her...

I think it is funny as h**l how McCains minions are praising an absolute NOBODY as some great leader just because she looks good. real good. really really good! mmmmmmmmmmm... Uh...anyways....

Obama is an ugly Harvard Educated Lawyer. But he is popular because he is the sh**. Period.  He already is one of the greatest presidents ever...

    McCain should've picked Paris Hilton.

    Obama/Biden 08

  8.    The Obama/Bin team is a good choice. They deserve each other.

For the McClain/Palin team its called better than good choice.       Compatible fits McClain/Palin. She was the right pick.

Be nice to see only one necktie in the White House with the McCain team.

  9. You can bet your boots she is! McCain could not have picked a better VP. She is young, age 44, smart, bright, a working mother, a Governor, and is honest and strong in her convictions. She does not put up with crooked politicians, and had fought them and won for the People she serves.  GOVERNOR PALIN has more Political Experience in running a Town, and State Governments that OBAMA has at running ANYTHING! She has made true CHANGES, and the Republican VP CHOICE is MORE QUALIFIED  TO GOVERN THAT THE DEMOCRATIC CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT.

  10. She is fantastic

How ironic, Palin will be the first woman president and all the liberal women will have voted against her.  Ha Ha

In 2012 hillary will have to run against the incumbent Republican president, President Palin.

    Haha hahaha

  11. Her and McCain will give us free ice and build Igloos!

  12. Yes she appeals to everyone except the far left that are just straight up scared.....

  13. a great “hail mary” move… great moment in history … the first female VP will be Republican..THEN the first female president will be also Republican ..her!

.she has DONE things that Obama dreams of doing.... like against after her OWN party on corruption.…when if EVER obama has done the same in the highly corrupt Democrat party uh?...I say she is more for change than obama is...she has DONE it! Look it up!

  14. Yes.

And it's looking better ever time the media and the Democrats open their woman-bashing mouths.

    The male chauvinist pig lives.

This time he's being joined by the women of the Democratic party.

Never thought I'd see the day.

The women of middle America are going to rally to the defense of Sarah Palin.

  15. Excellent.  Both she and McCain have a demonstrated track record of government reform, in contrast to their opponents who have a demonstrated track record of bloating government with more ineffective federalized programs.

  16. Obama has been spouting the "change" slogan for months and nothing has come of it. Now right out of the blue McCain makes the biggest change in history.

I bet when Obama heard it, he had to CHANGE his underwear. Palin could be the best thing to happen for this country ever. I'm betting on it.

  17. If you think window-dressing is a good choice then yes.

  18. Yes... this lady is a rising star.

  19. Well, if he wanted a NO experience, yes woman to trick fellow women into voting for him... thats what he got. The funniest thing is that these republicans met her YESTERDAY and just glorify her!!!  How silly!!!

    Thanks McCain.
