  1. She was only popular to dimbulbs much like she was.

Anyway, she's dead now so it's time to move on.

  2. She was considered attractive by men,but the attention that she garnered made men think twice.

  3. Hard question to answer ...................looks as if she could captivate some men  but it they crossed her she could make life very difficult for them .................she had the capability of looking very vulnerable and so the press hung on hr every word..............

  4. Prince Charles' father, Prince Philip (husband of Queen Elizabeth) is reported to have scolded Charles with these words:

You are the only man in the British Empire who is not in love with your wife.

He was trying to get Charles to work on the marriage more, but . . . alas . . . . we all know the end of the fairy tale.

I would say with her position, beauty, wardrobe, etc., that many men fantasized over her.  Whether any really offered her true love . . . . .?

  5. I loved her come to bad eyes!! i would have done and i doubt anyone i know would say no!! :)

  6. All the men in my world loved Diana and her beauty

  7. No man would have resisted her. She was pretty and she was a princess and most photographed woman in the world.

  8. I think she was popular among brain-dead men.  What led Charles to marry her, I hesitate to imagine.

  9. I never found her attractive.

  10. No,I don't think men wanted that sort IN their lives, she was a drama queen and she had several affairs.  She was a human being not a figment of Fantasy.

I think why people had such a love or devotion for her was that she was human and yet tried to be the best person she could be.

  11. i don't know...but Diana did not have affairs until she found out that her husband was cheating on her...& if he had been true to her...she would never have been in France to meet her terrible death!

  12. Princess Diana had numerous affairs both before and after her divorce from Prince Charles, but that didn't necessarily make her "popular," although some suitors, such as James Hewett and Dodi Fayad, may have found bedding the wife or former wife of the heir apparent to the English throne appealing.  She showcased the English fashion industry and was quite attractive when compared with the competition within the English Royal family.  She also had the charisma that Prince Charles lacked.  Consequently, she came across as "caring" compared with her stiffer, more traditional husband.

Prince Charles chose to marry Lady Diana because she was an "unsullied" 19-year-old at the time of their wedding with no past history.  Apparently, neither Prince Charles, nor his advisers, took into account their 12-year-age difference, Lady Diana's lack of formal education, or any possible psychological problems that would have resulted from her parents' acrimonious divorce.

  13. I think she was popular, in the sense that many men felt a huge loss when she died.

I don't think Diana was ever popular in the same sense that young women dream of going on a private cruise with Prince William or Prince Harry. Don't forget that Diana was introduced to the world as bride, and became a mother at age 21.

Caroline,  Hereditary Princess of Monaco (currently age 51 and four years older than Diana), and the daughter of Grace Kelly is a little more of a "woman of men's dreams".
