  1. More like threatened by the U.S. , otherwise they wouldn't have ...

  2. Fear really has nothing to do with this.  Both have either similar or competing interests, and when it comes to energy supply, sovereignty etc, priorities take precedent.

  3. Their main pipeline runs through Georgia. Some terrorists in Georgia keep trying to blow up the pipeline. Putin is opposed to giving up the pipeline and does not trust the Georgian army to protect it. Therefore, they have taken over the pipeline. Georgia politicians brought it on themselves.

  4. Russia never feared a war of any type either with the US or China. Just like Germany fears no conflict with US as testimonial to the constant rebuffs of US politics.

It is about drawing the line and saying, it's like this - care to play.

we drew it in Cuba, did it in Iraq under the guise of war on terror - Russia did -  just because.

    Now, imagine this, China says s***w US and I want Taiwan back p e r i o d

  5. No one is afraid of the US right now. They were right after Afghanistan and Iraq fell quickly, but the democrats and their supporters including the press have the country so divided and screwed up we have no ability to focus on any real problem. We can't even get our own oil when it's killing our economy and just drilling would bail us out, we even have people lying about that so we don't even understand that right now.

United we could smash Russia in the mouth so hard she would never even think of pulling that garbage again, and it would all be conventional.

The US is a mess right now we can't effectively even help our selves, and the world is in peril because of it.

  6. Apparently not

  7. Afraid is not the word. Our intelligence failed to see this coming (again). What is the United States going to do? We don't even have enough troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. And we can't tell them that invading another country is not good. We do it all the time.

We and Europe also need Russian oil and natural gas. We need Russia to help stop North Korea and Iran from getting nukes. We also encouraged Georgia to stand up to the Russians. Georgians thought if they sent their boys to Iraq, the United States would help them. Too bad. Another mess we help create.

  8. Obviously not.

  9. well they had the guts to do it, so i would say no

  10. The people of Russia do not fear the U.S. While down-trodden, they still believe themselves to be superior to everybody, but then again, I doubt that any person believes their country is weaker than another, unless they're unpatriotic, cowardly, liberal treehuggers.

  11. im sure they were

  12. Russia attacked GEORGIA?!!!.  Well Americans will definitely NOT stand for this.  If you attack one of our states, it's like you attacked all of us.  Am I right or am I right.  To answer your question, they obviously were not afraid of us or they would not have attacked our beloved, Georgia!  Better start working on your nuke bomb shelters, everyone, and start stocking up on provisions.

  13. You know there is a lil country under russia called Georgia. Its not the state.
