I would love to have a presidential election just ONE time in my life where issues were debated, rather than each side accusing the other of outrageous lies.

Obama isn't a muslim, mccain isn't in the klan.  

What is it about the internet that attracts so many vile, mean spirited people?  Why do so many people, on each side of the political spectrum, insist on making a mockery of our political system?  There are plenty of issues that can be talked about.  We can stop calling each other names.  

I  really need to find myself a nice deserted island to live on.  I am truly disgusted by so much of what I see from the people of this country, on both the left and right.
