  1. The show was real because the matches were real, but they looked kind of fake because all they did was show the highlights of each fight.  As a result, every fight looked like it was a classic back and forth battle, but in reality, a lot of those fights were boring and one sided.

I like the show and all, but I agree with you about the level of the fighters that were on the show.  No one from the show has yet to win a world title and the majority of the guys on the show are not even true contenders that are ranked in the top 10.  All of the guys you mentioned have failed miserably in their biggest fights:

Alfonso Gomez was having the best success, but as you pointed out, he failed horribly in his biggest test by being starched by Miguel Cotto.

Cornelius Bundrage ("K9") was TKO'd against Joel Julio, and even though, he's coming off a good win over Kassim Ouma, you have to take into consideration that the Ouma that he fought is not the same one from a few years back.

Peter Manfredo, Jr. couldn't last three rounds with the super middleweight champion, Joe Calzaghe and he just lost a very winnable fight against Jeff Lacy.  Lacy looked like c**p in that fight and it was Manfredo's night to shine, but he just let the opportunity slide by.

Sergio Mora was scared to fight Jermain Taylor because he knew he would have lost and in my eyes, he lost the Elvin Ayala fight, but the judges were there to save him (like in the second Manfredo fight) and give him an undeserved draw.  They don't call him "The Latin Fake" for nothing...

  2. Miguel Cotto answered that last week against Gomez.

  3. Was real, in that every boxer that went into the show were real boxers, and the matches were real matches.  The problem was they never showed full matches (except on the final show) just highlights of the matches (which does make them seem alittle fake, especially the way they would do slow motion effects and such).  The matches are actually counted on official record keeping sites.

The guys who fought on the show did not "suck" .  Some have actually had some nice wins since the show.  They arent "elite" level boxers, but you dont go from Elite down to Suck in one step.  I think a better name for the show might have been "The Fringe Contender".

  4. Nope  sadly they were real Contenders but only that none of them were prospects or elite fighters,

All of them are boxers but class C club fighters if you couldnt tell already.

Basiclly meaning none of them will ever be at the top.

If any of the fighters on that show had any "REAL" talent or skill they wouldnt waste there time with that show,

They would be with a promotion company with a contract fighting in the pros.
