The feud was real, i know, Edge stole Matt's girl, but my question is was that video part of script (some parts) or was it all fake? Because he mentioned "Come see me on Ring of Honor...ROH!" @ 2:09.. He even said Adam..Edge's name. He also said WWE CAN KISS MY ***!

If he was to say TNA, would that make it seem more real if the thing was fake? Also, who do you like more, Matt or Edge?

One last thing, I think Matt & Edge are stillemies.. Go to Matt's profile of Myspace- www.myspace.com/TheOnlyMattHardy -- In his pro he has a thing called "The real WWE'ers" but Edge isnt there.. And Edge does have myspace, its- www.myspace.com/therealratedrsuperstar .. both of them have proof.. Anyways, answer my first three questions & you'll get thumbs up as well as maybe the 10 points.

  1. i think that was real

  2. it was a work. btw edge recntly got a myspace and that list you see hasn't been updated in a while. but Matt said in the hardy boyz dvd that he would be cool with edge if he just apologized

  3. Real Life friendships and relationships were so interesting in this case, that the WWE Booking Team made it into a storyline. The end result was Matt's relationship with Lita was destroyed, Edge's Marriage almost ended in divorce and Edge and Matt's close friendship was in tatters. As far as I know, all parties are civil to one another, but they will never be as close as they once were.

Matt Hardy wrestled in Ring of Honor in 2005 after being released by the WWE. Hardy appeared at a scheduled Ring of Honor (ROH) event on July 16 in Woodbridge, Connecticut where he defeated Christopher Daniels via submission. Hardy also cut a brief promo where he continued in full 'worked shoot' mode, attacking WWE and John Laurinaitis. Following his official return to WWE, Hardy was met with backlash following a match with Homicide from the fans at a subsequent ROH event, which Hardy won. The next day at his final ROH appearance, he lost to Roderick Strong. Matt did not go to TNA, he went to ROH. Both Matt and Edge are great in their roles, I like both of them

  4. they don't like each other in real life and i think the whole feud was real cause if you see there matches they don't wrestle they fight

  5. I'm sure they don't like each other, but that's their personal stuff, not my business.

I know when he jumped Edge in the ring, that was a shoot.  They cut his mic, security jumped him and they moved the camera off of him.  I don't know about the first attack though.

If it was fake, they made it very believable, because security beat the c**p out of him.  He put pictures of it on his personal website.

  6. yea! it was really!

  7. Ok.  Here's your answers.

1:  Parts of it is real.  The reason why he was originally so pissed BEFORE his appearance was because the WWE fired him for expressing his personal feelings.  But they were in the wrong for the firing due to his doing it on his own personal site (NOT OWNED BY THE WWE.)

The WWE kept the re-signing secret, allowing Matt to play off the count-down of his 90-Day no-compete, as if he was going to go to TNA.  In fact, TNA had gotten in contact with him, and he did respond, but WWE got back to him with a better deal, which allowed Matt to break kayfabe and get a spirit of illusion to his character for a bit.

2:  When he said "Come see me on Ring of Honor...ROH! ROH!" it was truth.  He was booked to wrestle against Christopher Daniels on one night, and someone else another night.  He made it to both shows while he was still outside of the 90-Days no compete, since ROH didn't have a TV deal yet.  The WWE hired him back during this time and made a special exception for the two shows with ROH, starting a deal that allowed ROH to have WWE talent, as long as they did not fight TNA talent (The Daniels match was booked before this agreement, so it was ok.  Other WWE stars that showed up there during their contracts were Jamie Noble, Brian Kendrick and Mick Foley...  and ROH guys that showed up on WWE tv during this time were Bryan Danielson, Colt Cabana, and Adam Pierce)

If he said TNA, TNA would have probably sued the WWE, as he was not booked there, and WWE has absolutely no right to use the name.  When he said ROH, ROH saw it as free publicity for their small (at the time) federation.  TNA would have just jumped the bandwagon of lawsuits, if they were mentioned, as WWE sued TNA for showing footage of 3 Live Kru showing up at the WWE backstage when WWE showed up in Florida.

3:  Here we go...  Who do I like better:

In the ring:  I like Matt better as he has a wider moveset, and he's not limited to his "character based" moves like all the main eventers are.  Edge is forced to cut his technique in half, losing several moves (The Electric Chair, the Downward Spiral, and the Buzzkiller to just name a few).  Hardy is allowed to use his wider moveset, as his character is more open than Edge.  The only problem here is that Hardy's open moveset doesn't allow him as many "special" moves that get the "casual" fans to react...  but for the "wrestling" fans, they enjoy his style.

As a character:  I like Edge better because he is simply a better character than Matt.  In fact, Edge is one of my favorite characters.  His outlandish psychosis and selfishness allow him a great multitude of characteristics that Matt just doesn't have in his "Breaking Kayfabe Hero" gimmick.

As a person:  In real life, I like Matt better.  I went to signings for both Edge & Christian and Matt Hardy & Lita.  When I was on line for Edge, he made a cutoff, stating that he wanted to leave...  the cutoff was slightly behind me, but that attitude annoyed me as he was supposed to be there for the fans, not for the money.  Matt, on the other hand, saw that his time ran out, then stood up to see that the line was ridiculously long, but instead of leaving the table, he rallied the fans to keep the line open.  That's cool as h**l.  Also, the fact that Edge was willing to cheat with one of his best friends' girlfriends...  that's just not cool, and made me like Edge even worse.

  8. There are certain aspects to the feud that I know were real, and certain things I do believe were real.

Here's the chronology of what's going on here.  The raw in which Matt first attacked Edge was the night Matt's contract would have perminantly expired with the company.  They let him work an ROH date, maybe more than one, not sure, during his suspension.  I don't recall WHAT he was suspended for, but it was thought that he probably wouldn't re-sign when he came back.  I question if Vince just told him to go out there and beat the living c**p out of Edge.  I really do wonder if that was a shoot attack set up by McMahon.  Then again, not much damage was done to Edge, because, as you can see, he got up afterwards.

I also wonder if security was in on this.  Notice how they manhandle Matt when he attacks Edge in the ring?  Later reports said that they put on the handcuffs so tightly that they actually broke flesh, and it's RARE that Security would pile up on someone like that for a work angle.  I mean they DOGPILE him into immobility.

I think the interviews from Matt were completely unscripted.  I think Vince told Matt to go out there and speak his mind, and in a way, that did work against him a bit.  He came off looking like a coward when he hoped Edge got into a car crash and died, and he lost a lot of fan sympathy over that remark.

The hype around this angle was built up, and I don't think anyone suspected Matt's return attack.  Friends and I thought it was a double until the second attack, since the WWE had no problem with mocking Matt in weeks leading up to the attack.  Also, Matt did a lot of promo's indepedent of the WWE on the internet.  He even went so far as to create his own gimmick, the Angelic Diablo, and shoot promo's in the woods of North Carolina.  It was compelling stuff, and the WWE had no attachment to it whatsoever.  If they did, I'm sure they would have latched on to that genius gimmick when Matt returned.
