It's a great movie and I love it but I think it is too Americanized, like the flames on Optimus Prime.

Will this mean that Dragon Ball [Live Action] will be Americanized too? I heard that Goku is not even from the mountains or w/e, he is more of like in High School or w/e >_> But it's okay ^^"

  1. Well the DB movie will suck anyway!  The way I see it, Transformers was a terirble teaser trailer for DB :(

I always thought that Transformers was originally a US idea that was taken to be animated by Japan and was sucessful in both countries.  While the animation is japanese the story and original idea are American.

And yes, in the DB movie Goku has CLASSMATES and is enrolled in school.  These classmates must have a 'significant' role in the film as their actors have been named.  I would have thought that if classmates were necessary they would be bit-parts or something...

If that doesn't give you a big enough hint, Bulma's DragonBall is STOLEN and she is trying to GET IT BACK.  Seriously, wtf?  It's not even CLOSE to the original material, what a shame...

  2. well it is being directed by James Wong and produced by Stephen Chow, so it's up in the air right now. Also the reason Transformers was "Americanized" is because it is all Americans working on it.

  3. well in order to really pull people in here it would have to be americanized in order for us to want to go see it also optimus has always been a fire truck or semi or some big car like that so the flames dont really matter and no one knows what DB will look like also im sure if the japanese creators of both those had a problem they would intervine or something the transformers cartoon was only made to sell the toys

  4. Well "Transformers" was always an American storyline.  It's not like it was one of the Japanese animes that got adapted.  It was like He-Man, the toy came out and THEN they made a cartoon about it.

  5. Well transformers is more of an american TV series unlike DBZ.

If my knowledge is correct,  Transformers isn't by Tokyo Pop either. DBZ is.

It's all a matter of the company producing the movies. Tokyo Pop is a world wide company. Some others aren't so much.

  6. errrm the Transformers movie was OKAY but i guess it was abit americanized xDD LOL

i hope Dragon Ball won't be americanized! it won't look as good! DX (when i imagine it lol)
