For the , BIG FOUR , in auto manufacturing he was an extremely ,'BAD MAN'. he had the temerity to challenge prevalent thought that bigger was better and to produce a car that had a lower profile by four inches, was lighter by several hundred pounds, and actually got twenty miles to the gallon when the nearest competitor could only make eight .He did this by using a new technology called FUEL INJECTION.

This intimidated the ,'big guys', and they were able to run him into a financial pit that he was unable to overcome,and he had to discontinue production. HUGE LOSS 4 US , HUGE PROFIT FOR THEM.
