For those who saw it Willie Mason punched Stuart Fielden in the face, braeking his nose only three minutes into the game between Great Britain Rugby League and Australia in the Tri-Nations, several minutes in, he slams into Sean Long, cutting Sean just above the eybrow, two days later, Mason is fined £2000 and is banned from one match, do you think his punishment was to soft or just right, and explain why.

  1. Mason's punisment is all wrong in my opinion.

How has he got off unpunished for what he did to Long?

Im all for a bit of biff so I dont think he should be punished for punching Fielden,  Its just part of the game,

Elbow to the head however is not.

  2. if he did it on the street the punishment would be more severe

  3. the guys in the wrong sport

needs to take up wrestling or boxing

  4. Why does it sound like this was asked by a Kiwi supporter? ;-)

I thought it was a little harsh, when you consider what else has been happening through out this series. There have been plenty of punches thrown from both sides, and no-one else has been fined or banned.
