  1. Yes, and in a way no.
    66,655 Canadians died in war, which leaves at least 66,000 families without fathers, brothers, and husbands.
    Another bad thing was that in 1917, the Canadian Government had spent $439 million on ammunition and food for soldiers.
    A good thing for Canada was that because the war was in Europe, they had to produce food for all of Canada, and the European Countries.
