  1. Yes, she was, but her partner was German not Spanish or British. Any woman or man for that matter that is abused by their partner should be given the opportunity by the courts to give back what they received.


  2. According to your article, yes.  I have already heard about the other incident, mentioned at the end of that article.

    The situation with domestic violence in Spain is deplorable!  I got a bit of info on it while I was visiting recently.  I´m not sure that it´s actually on the rise, or that it´s just being reported more in recent years than in the past.  With the Macho culture of the country, I suspect it has always been there, It just hasn´t been very public.

  3. Excuse me!!!! But that British woman was killed by her British husband. I don't think that the location (Spain) could influence at all. It is something horrible and deplorable anywhere!!!

    Additionally, the Spanish government has been running a gender violence campaign for years because the problem in Spain is that women are used to be silent.

    Please, do not stereotype!!!
