well one time I was at a camp and and a girl I met there told me there was a ghost at the camp because the camp used to be a battle field 200 years ago and the ghost used to be a nurse for the soldiers in the battlefield, but she got killed by a bomb. And one night I was in my bunk at the camp and I woke up in the middle of the night and I sware I was awake and a saw a string with a needle tied to the end of it floating in the air coming from nowhere, and as soon as I tried to put my hand through it it disapeared! I knew it was the nurse cause back 200 years ago if a solider was wounded a nurse would sew the wound with a needle and a string attached.

- then at the end of the camp, I had left my room and there was NO ONE in the room and the lights turned off and the door shut all by itself!

And my friend that told me the story said that she was in another room and the door shut by itself and she saw a white ghostly hand waving to her! She told me that is the Nurses way of thanking us

  1. My first question is , exactly what was the nurse thanking you for ?

I'm not saying that you didn't see these things , I'm just trying to understand what is was that she was thanking you for .

Anyway , I believe that the nurse very well may be still there .

And I also believe that the reason that she is there is because she feels that she has unfinished business . ( To take care of others )

It could either be that the nurse was thanking you , or it may be just the nurse letting you know that she is not there to do any harm , only good .

  2. Sure, why not!

  3. What would you be thanked for, you didn't even turn off the lights yourself... Maybe she just watches over the children.

But this sounds like a lot of pretend ghost story stuff...

  4. No, a ghost did not thank you.

You're either dreaming or seeing something that isn't there - an optical illusion from various stimuli or fear of the unknown has led you to process visual information and mistake it for something it is not.

It's very common for people not to realise they were dreaming, dreams can seem very real especially when you're slipping in and out of sleep - you're dream was merely factoring in information you had absorbed earlier.

  5. It's great fun being a kid, going on camp, telling ghost stories and feeling really scared. But you have to realize that they are just stories, just make believe that your friend of someone else made up. Even if you had a dream that seemed very real to you it doesn't prove that ghosts are real.

Besides, why would a nurse that has gone through the trauma of a battlefield choose to materialize for the benefit of a couple of giggling kids and then be grateful for their hysterical squeals?
