  1. oh my god i was there. i went to snomountain in scranton it was the best skiing and tubing of my life. the snow was so powdery the day i went skiing, and icing when i went tubing. it was perfect, the best time of my life.

  2. I live in the poconos.  you're righ: the skiing was perfect a few days this february, especially at elk and camelback.  But if your like me and are looking for park skiing, big boulder is the place to be.  Along with their sister mountain, Jack Frost, Big Boulder always has good conditions and the park is SICK.  Sno Mountain (my home mountain) is alright for regular skiing and has some pretty fun trails, but is no where in the same league as Boulder for park.  While its features are better than Elk, Camelback, Jackfrost and other resorts, it just cant compete with the freestyle scene of Boulder.

  3. I work up at Camelback every weekend so I've been there about every weekend this season.  It was awesome this weekend!!!   Best conditions all year.  Tomorrow, 2/27 should be a banner day with the new snow too.

The snow has been holding up despite the warm ups.  I give mad sick props to the snowmaking crew and the groomers.

Two weeks ago the bumps on Lower Cleopatra were nice but they were crudded up last week and hopefully they can have them back in shape for this weekend once it gets cold again.

To be honest people have been bitching about the big whales on some of the trails like The Hump earlier in the season because of the double fall lines but I love that stuff.  It doesn't matter now because they groomed it all down and the surface has been holding up.

Can't wait for the weekend.  May have to take a snow day tomorrow.

  4. I agree. These were the best weekend conditions in a long time.

I patrolled at Ski Big Bear last Sunday. I skied at Sno Mountian on Monday, Worked/Skied Wed-Saturday at Big Bear, and then was able to still find some snow in the "backcountry" the next two days.

I was shocked to find good conditions in the woods a few days after the majority of the snow was done falling...and some of it wasn't stomped down by snowshoers...WooHoo!
