Was anyone elses baby lying face down at thier 12 week scan?? is this normal??

Following a miscarriage last year, I was soo worried about my baby being healthy before I had my 12 week scan this week, we were overwhelmed when the sonographer told us the baby was ok....but looking at my pics ive noticed the baby is lying on his tummy, on all the scan pics ive ever seen before, the baby's are lying on their back.....

hehe  baby has lots of room still my boy was sitting up right in all of his 12 scans ......lots of room still i wouldnt worry.

at our 11week scan our son was SPINNING and FLIPPING in there! he wouldn't stay still for longer then 2minutes. He was all over the place like a trapped butterfly.

the ultrasound woman said that it was unusual for an 11wk baby to be so active and capable of such movements - but he did it! making us laugh but making her very frustrated while she tried to take his measurements.

we were in there for over an hour!

from my experience, it's perfectly normal for baby to be able to be in any position they like. she must be comfortable laying like that - how CUTE!

i'm 32wks now, and my baby has been on the move for each of the 4 ultrasounds i've had. I think he gets hyper when i get excited or something like that lol

Dats so funny because I just had my 12 week scan yesterday and my baby was lyin face down. The tech everything was fine.but da baby was movin at 1st and then it just laid there she had to move around my stomach and the probe for like 5mins so my baby would turn around so she can measure it. I was so happy that she said everything was ok and I heard the heartbeat. Don't be scared. Its a doesn't matter how's da babys laying as long as its healthy and has a heartbeat.
